-Psalm 96: 1, 2

You are invited to come and be a part of what God is doing in the Music Ministry at First Baptist Church!
There are many ways to get involved:
Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir is open to youth and adults and serves as the primary choir for worship leadership. The Sanctuary choir is involved in every Sunday morning service and performs two major musicals each year at Easter and Christmas. The Choir rehearses each Wednesday night from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Saints Alive Choir
The Saints Alive Choir is open to all Senior adults with a love for singing and great music. The Saints Alive choir performs quarterly in our worship services and also prepares special concerts during the Christmas season. The choir is directed by Rev. John T. Burke and rehearses everyWednesday at 1:00.
Children's Choir
The Children’s choirs are open to all children grades 1-5. Our Music Makers choir is for grades 1-3 and our Young Musicians choir is for grades 4-5. Each choir participates periodically in the worship services and sings throughout the year at special events. The Music Makers choir is directed by Mandi Beckham, Kerri Darby, and Mary Chow. The Young Musicians choir is directed by Sarah Lou Moose, Beth Eubank, and Donna Tarver. The children’s choirs rehearse every Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Vocalist & Instrumentalist
Here at First Baptist Church we strive to provide a variety of opportunities for those gifted in music to use their gifts for the glory of God. We also want to provide the opportunity to praise and worship our Lord and to lead others to do the same. Anyone interested in performing a solo, vocal or instrumental, should contact the minister of music.

MUSIC ALL AROUND
Is your home a musical home? Do you sing, play, and dance to music with your children or spouse? I have found music to be a wonderful way to add richness and warmth to your everyday life. Give this a try some evening: 1) Turn off the t.v. 2) put on some soft hymns or praise and worship music 3) Sit down on the floor or at the kitchen table and play a game with your family. I promise that will be a time with your family you will not regret.
Martin Luther said it best when he said "Music is a fair and glorious gift of God." Use that fair and glorious gift to enrich the lives of your family.
