First Class

At First Baptist Greenville we want everyone to know what we are about. So we implemented a time where new members or those considering membership could gain a better understanding of First Baptist Greenville.

First class meets during the regular Sunday School hour beginning at 9:45 a.m. in our family life center, the Forbus Center.

Below is a brief overview of this annual class.

Purpose:

First Class is designed to help new members or those considering membership gain a better and deeper understanding of First Baptist Greenville.

This class seeks to provide every member with a common foundation on the beliefs, ministries and function of First Baptist Greenville.

Through the class you will understand exactly what church membership means here at First Baptist Greenville. Also you will learn what Baptists have in common with other Christian Denominations as well as those beliefs that are distinctively Baptist.

Content:

There are 4 weekly sessions that make up First Class:

Session1 : Why We Exist as a Church

Session 2: What We Expect of Every Member

Session 3: What We Believe as Baptists

Session 4: How Baptists Get Things Done
